It has been 10 years since Akiko Kawasaki, a shepherdess from Betsukai, Hokkaido, won the Ayako Miura Literature Award for "King of the Tornado," which was one of the projects implemented to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Ayako Miura's "The Glacial Spot".

To commemorate this milestone, we will present an exhibition that introduces the current state of Ms. Kawasaki's writing activities and examines the literary horizons she has carved out for herself.

We are delighted to announce that in February 2024, Ms. Akiko Kawasaki will receive the 170th Naoki Sanjo Prize (Japan Society for the Promotion of Literature) for her novel "Tomogui" (2023, Shinchosha). Congratulations!
