Illuminations that beautifully decorate the area in front of Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto Station in winter. This year, the tunnel of light will be entirely blue.
In addition to about 73,000 LED lights, lantern-shaped lights and glowing Zushii Hokki with motifs of the four seasons and tourist spots of Hokuto City will make the winter of Hokuto fantastically bright. On Wednesday, November 27th, there will be a lighting ceremony with performances by local elementary school students! We look forward to seeing you there.

・Tunnel of light
A 60m-long tunnel of light will be set up from the south exit of Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto Station to the Hokkuru entrance. This year, the tunnel will be completely blue.
・Mini Zoo of Lights
A mini zoo will be set up next to the tunnel of light, which can be enjoyed not only from the tunnel of light, but also from the Hokuto City Tourism Exchange Center.
・Andon-style lighting
There are five lanterns permanently installed in the center of the sidewalk in front of the Hokkuru entrance. The lanterns softly illuminate the sidewalk.
・Arch of light
There are three lights installed at the entrances of Hokkuru at all times. They have an H-shaped structure and are lit from the inside.
・Street trees
The roadside trees on the prefectural and municipal roads in front of Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto Station are lit up with cherry blossom-inspired LED lights.
・Zushii Hokki Object
In a corner of the event plaza in front of Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto Station, Zushii Hokki will light up and change colours in his belly.
