The "Dojin Reforestation Gathering 2024" will be held on October 5, 2024 (Sat.).

The purpose of the event is to provide an opportunity for people to get in touch with forests and trees, and to promote awareness of the importance of forest development and the use of timber among the people of Hokkaido.

In cooperation with the Hokkaido Forest Office of the Forestry Agency, the Hokkaido Forest and Greenery Association, and related municipalities and organizations, the Hokkaido Prefectural Government is holding a series of events on "forestation" and "wood utilization" as the "Hokkaido Mokuiku Festa" in order to promote collaborative forestation with the participation of Hokkaido citizens. This year's festival will feature exhibits by forestry volunteer groups and others, including woodworking and tree-climbing experiences.
