Taking advantage of the windy climate of Tomamae Town, a kite-flying competition is being held to bring excitement and joy to winter life. In addition to the parent-and-child division, there are seven categories, including elementary school students, general competition, large kites, and linked kites, and judges are given on the design and how the kites fly.

We have a limited number of rental kites available so that you can come and experience kite flying empty-handed, so please feel free to come along. Starting with this tournament, we will also be selling local specialties.
