The Otaru Tenguyama Ropeway will operate from 6am on New Year's Day. Watch the first sunrise from the mountaintop observation deck, then visit Tenguyama Shrine, located at the highest point in Otaru, for your first shrine visit of the year. Before sunrise, you can enjoy the "morning night view" floating in the clear air and silence. On the day, we will be offering a limited number of "Ozoni" (rice cake soup) to celebrate the New Year. Come and spend the New Year's holidays at the top of Tenguyama.
