We will be holding an exhibition of "Hina dolls of the Watari-Date family." In 1870, the Watari-Date family moved to Date City, Hokkaido. At that time, many family heirlooms were sold off to cover the cost of the move.
However, one thing they never let go of was the "Ohinasama" dolls. These dolls were brought by successive princesses as part of their dowries. This time, in conjunction with the exhibition, we will be introducing the Edo period game of "shell matching."
