At an elevation of about 80m, Okueyama is a famous spot from which you can get a panoramic view of Lake Akkeshi and Akkeshi Bay, as well as the townscape of Akkeshi. There are still remains of a group of castles built by the Ainu people, which are rare even in Hokkaido, and you can experience history and nature.
