Kaiyodai Opening Event Held!!
Kaiyodai Observatory, which is closed during the winter, will be open this season.
To celebrate the opening, we will be hosting a variety of fun events, including a free milk distribution, a rock-paper-scissors tournament that anyone can participate in, and sales of original Tourism Association products.

Nakashibetsu Town is located in the center of the Nemuro area of Eastern Hokkaido. Dairy farming is thriving here, and the quality of the raw milk produced there is among the best in Japan! It is a hub city in eastern Hokkaido, with many people and goods passing through, and commerce is also thriving. It is about a 15-minute drive from the downtown area of Nakashibetsu Town. Kaiyodai, which is said to be the landmark of Nakashibetsu Town, is located on a plateau at an altitude of 270 meters, and when you look out, you can see the grassland that can be described as a "green carpet" as far as the eye can see. You can also see the Hokkaido Heritage Lattice Windbreak Forest and, on a clear day, the Northern Territories' Kunashiri Island.
