Ishikari Lighthouse open to the public

Date and Time

2025/5/5

①10:00~12:00 ②13:30~15:00
*Cancelled in case of rain or stormy weather
*We will guide you in the order in which you line up in front of Ishikari Lighthouse. Because the inside is small, there will be a full rotation system with groups of 5 to 6 people (approximately 10 minutes required).

Ishikari Lighthouse will be open to the public! Ishikari Lighthouse is a symbol of Ishikari City, first lit in 1892 and has a history of over 130 years. Inside the lighthouse, wooden walls from over 100 years ago remain, making it the oldest surviving lighthouse in Hokkaido. Members of the Ishikari Guide Volunteer Association will be helping out and will be giving talks about Ishikari Lighthouse on the day.

You can enjoy the inside of the lighthouse, which is not usually open to the public, and the spectacular view from the top of the lighthouse. Please note that the inside of the lighthouse is very narrow and the stairs are very steep (almost like a ladder), so there are some age restrictions and rules to ensure everyone's safety.
