The event is held every year with the aim of passing on to future generations the history surrounding Goryokaku, the site of the final battle (Boshin War) before Japan transitioned to a modern nation. This year, there will be events such as the setting up of photo spots in Goryokaku Park, food truck stalls, and performance shows on a special stage.
