The Biotope Forum, sponsored by the Japan Biotope Association, a non-profit organization, will be held in Sapporo. To be held in Hokkaido, the forum will focus on the Ioru (forests, rivers, and seas with high biodiversity as living spaces) that have nurtured Ainu culture, and explore the origins of biotopes. Poster and photo exhibitions, and environmental lectures will also be held.
