This festival is hosted by the Chitose Air Base of the Air Self-Defense Force to deepen understanding and awareness of the Air Self-Defense Force, and is crowded with many visitors every year. *The Chitose Air Base of the Air Self-Defense Force is made up of various units, including the 2nd Air Wing that ensures safety in the skies, the Control Unit that controls takeoffs and landings at New Chitose Airport, and the Rescue Unit, known as the last line of defense for rescue operations.
