"Soran Bushi," a folk song representative of Hokkaido, is a work song sung by young men employed in herring fishing. This summer event is held in Yoichi, the birthplace of "Soran Bushi," to pass on the "Soran Bushi" to future generations. There will be food stalls, a circle dance (Soran dance) in the venue, and a taiko drum performance on stage.
