Yakumo Shrine is a shrine that enshrines a branch of Atsuta Shrine in Nagoya, and at the annual festival held from June 20th to 22nd, a portable shrine is carried through the town and the Matsumae Kagura dance is also performed. On the main day of the festival, June 21st, the Yakumo Festival Chamber of Commerce and Industry Event Square (formerly the pedestrian paradise) is held, and it is bustling with various events and outdoor stalls that everyone from children to adults can enjoy all day long.
