A sea festival that heralds the beginning of summer in Esashi. After the Itsukushima Shrine annual festival, which is held to pray for safety at sea and a good catch, a rice cake throwing ceremony (with prizes) will be held to pray for a good catch. In addition to the usual song shows and character shows, a variety of stage events will be held. There will also be a game tournament where you can win prizes. Festival food will be available from the stalls and food trucks, so everyone can enjoy early summer in Esashi.
