The 58th Shibetsu Akiaji Festival will be held on Sunday, September 28th. This year, the festival will be all about salmon, with events such as a sale of fresh autumn salmon caught in Shibetsu Maehama and killed on board, a free salmon roe bowl that is sure to draw a line, and an Akiaji Bakuhai Catch Grab Race where participants try to catch salmon swimming in a large pool.

There will also be a variety of delicious and fun events for everyone to enjoy, including a Shibetsu Gourmet Food Village using local ingredients, a lucky raffle, and stage performances. This year, the festival will be called the "58th Shibetsu Akiaji Festival, Shibetsu Town Industry Festival," where you can enjoy not only autumn salmon but also other attractive local products from Shibetsu Town.
