Overview

"Arausu Banzai" is an event where you can enjoy wine from the Mount Usu area and delicious food. There will be stalls selling not only wine grapes from the area, but also great food.

<What is "Arausu Banzai"?>
The name "Arausu Banzai" comes from the wine festival (pronounced "sai" in Japanese) around Mt. Usu, and also conveys the meaning of "banzai" (cheers) as everyone rejoices in the abundant wine and food of the Mt. Usu area.

Recently, the number of wine grape producers has been increasing around Mount Usu. Because it takes several years from planting the grape seedlings to producing wine, there aren't many brands available at the moment, but in a few years, many wines will be produced in this area. "Arausu Banzai" is an event where local people and neighboring people can learn about local wines while enjoying delicious food and sweets prepared by local chefs.
