Ikuemi Ryo is a manga artist who has been based in Sapporo for over 40 years. Her works often feature Sapporo scenery and Hokkaido dialect, and even capture the atmosphere of the times. This exhibition will focus on the stories set in Sapporo from among the many stories he has published to date, and will feature over 100 beautiful and delicate original drawings, including his masterpieces, as well as materials that offer a glimpse into the creative process. Having debuted in his teens and always been at the forefront of the industry, Ikuemi Ryo continues to weave many stories, and you can see the trajectory of his work in his hometown of Sapporo.
