Snowshoe hiking on Mt. Moan and mini-walk bus tour along the ice horizon on the Notsuke Peninsula

Date and Time

2026/2/22

8:00-16:00

A greedy tour where you can enjoy the white mountains and sea in one day!
We will be hosting a snowshoe hike on Mt. Moan, where you can experience Nakashibetsu's nature firsthand and taste its flavors, and a mini-walk bus tour of the Notsuke Peninsula ice horizon. Mt. Moan is about 356m above sea level and is a gentle mountain that is easy even for beginners to climb. Members of the Minami Shiretoko Mountaineering Club will be accompanying you on the day. If the weather is good on Mt. Moan, you can look down on the vast white land from the top.
After enjoying Mount Moan to the fullest, it's time for lunch on the bus, where you'll enjoy a bento box made with local ingredients.
In the afternoon, we head to the Notsuke Peninsula. The frozen white Notsuke Bay is also known as Japan's Uyuni Salt Flats, with a vast white snowy plain stretching out to the icy horizon. Learn about the Notsuke Peninsula with your guide and try taking trick photos on the frozen sea. This is a satisfying tour that lets you enjoy the white mountains and sea in one day. After the tour, warm up in a hot spring while admiring the snowy scenery. Not only those visiting Nakashibetsu for the first time, but even those who live in Nakashibetsu may discover something new.
