From Goryokaku Tower, a landmark of Hakodate, you can enjoy a 360-degree view of Mount Hakodate, the city, the Tsugaru Strait, and Hakodate Bay.

Goryokaku Tower will be open for special business from 6:30 AM to coincide with the first sunrise of the year. Immediately after the first sunrise (around 7:04 AM), the "First Sunrise Lion Dance Performance" will be held on the observation deck. After the first sunrise, you can pray for good health and safety in the year ahead with the lion dance performance.
