At the Sapporo Olympic Museum, it had been closed from November last year accompanying the renewal of various experience devices and winter sports theater's equipment, but business will resume from January 17th (Saturday). In this renewal, the five simulator videos and systems for ski/jump two types, bobsleigh, speed skating, and ice hockey, the theater screening program, and the Miyasama Ski International Competition Exhibition Corner have been refreshed.
Also, from the same day of reopening, as this fiscal year's special exhibition, in co-sponsorship with the Public Interest Incorporated Foundation Japan Olympic Committee and the Public Interest Incorporated Foundation Japan Para Sports Association Japan Paralympic Committee, a special exhibition regarding the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Games will be held. At the exhibition, in addition to the activities of TEAM JAPAN (Japan National Team) participating in the Games and the introduction of newly adopted competitions, a spotlight will also be put on the Cortina d'Ampezzo 1956 Winter Games, and its history and the activities of Japanese athletes at that time will be looked back upon. After the completion of the Games, as there is a plan to carry out the addition/replacement of exhibition items as needed, such as participating athletes' Games-used items, etc., we humbly request that you please publicize this to many citizens and tourists everyone.
