Date and Time
2026/1/17~4/26
Summer hours: 9:00-18:00 (last entry at 17:30)
Winter hours: 9:30-17:00 (last entry at 16:30)
The Sapporo Olympic Museum has been closed since November last year due to the renewal of various experience devices and Winter Sports Theater equipment, but will reopen on Saturday, January 17th. This renewal includes the renewal of five simulator videos and systems for skiing/two types of jumping, bobsleigh, speed skating, and ice hockey, as well as the theater screening program and the Prince's International Ski Championships exhibition corner.
Also, starting on the same day as the reopening, a special exhibition on the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Games will be held as part of this year's special exhibition, co-hosted by the Japanese Olympic Committee and the Japan Para Sports Association/Japan Paralympic Committee. In addition to showcasing the achievements of TEAM JAPAN (the Japanese national team) and introducing new sports, the exhibition will also highlight the Cortina d'Ampezzo 1956 Winter Games, looking back on the history and achievements of Japanese athletes at the time. After the Games, we plan to add and replace exhibits, including items used by participating athletes, so we ask for your cooperation in spreading the word to local residents and tourists alike.
