EVENT
The 35th YOSAKOI Soran Festival
Date and Time
2026/6/4~8
Inspired by the "Yosakoi Festival" of Kochi Prefecture, this is an event where participants dance to a mix of "Naruko" clappers and the Hokkaido folk song "Soran Bushi". It started in 1992 (Heisei 4) with 10 teams and 1,000 participants. Today, it has grown into an event with about 30,000 participants from Japan and abroad, attracting about 2 million spectators. At the main venue, Odori Park, you can watch dance performances in parades and on stages, and there is the "Waodori Square" where anyone can join in, as well as booths where you can taste food from all over the country. Performance venues are also set up in various locations throughout Sapporo city. In addition to the energetic choreography, the vibrant costumes and makeup are also one of the highlights.
