From mid-May to early June, approximately 12,000 Ezoyamamatsutsuji azaleas reach their blooming season at Daimaruyama Forest Park. The Hiroo Tsutsuji Matsuri (Azalea Festival) is an event held amidst the blooming of many vermilion azalea flowers in the park. The content is packed with activities, including stage events targeted at children. A charcoal barbecue corner is also available, so you can fully enjoy the tastes of Hiroo.
