The event "Mai," held annually at the Sapporo Clock Tower Hall, will mark its 10th anniversary in 2026.

Some may feel that Japanese dance is a bit unapproachable, but this is an event we hold every year with the desire to create an opportunity for people to casually enjoy Japanese dance. It is an event enjoyed by those interested in Japanese dance, as well as tourists and visitors from overseas.

Every year, we perform various Japanese dances on the historic stage of the Clock Tower Hall.
This year, we are planning to perform various Nagauta pieces and will also feature a special performance of Nankin Tamasudare.

Admission is free. We would be delighted if those interested in the Clock Tower Hall, or those who have been interested in Japanese dance but haven't had the chance to see it, would come. No reservations are required, so you are more than welcome to just drop by on the day of the event and enjoy.
