Held as a project to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Esashi Town merger, 'The 3rd Okhotsk Esashi Umaimon Festival' is a major summer event where you can fully enjoy the seafood of Esashi and the charm of the region.

For two days, on Saturday, July 4th, and Sunday, July 5th, 2026, a variety of events such as gourmet food, stage performances, and fireworks can be enjoyed at the Usutaibe Senjojiki venue.

This year, as a new project, the 'Esashi Umaimon Grand Prix 2026' will be held, where visitors' votes will decide the 'best delicacy of the year'.
A full lineup of exquisite gourmet food unique to Esashi will be available, including horsehair crab dishes, grilled seafood, and sales of specialty products and souvenirs.

The stage events are also extensive. On the 4th, there will be a hero show and YOSAKOI dance performances, and in the evening, a fireworks display will light up the night sky.
On the 5th, there will be a variety of programs for the whole family to enjoy, including the popular attraction 'Horsehair Crab Fast-Eating Contest', a 'SHINOBU' impersonation stage show, and a 'Yuki Tokunaga' Kayō show.

The event will conclude with the 'Esashi's 'Sachi' (Luck) Grand Lottery', where you can win horsehair crabs and scallops.
