Overview

"The 3rd Okhotsk Esashi Umaimon Festival," held as an Esashi Town Merger 20th Anniversary Commemorative Project, is a major summer event where you can fully savor the seafood of Esashi and the charms of the region.

For two days on July 4th (Sat) and 5th (Sun), 2026, you can enjoy a variety of events such as gourmet food, stage performances, and fireworks at the Usutaibe Senjoiwa venue.

This year, as a new project, the "Esashi Umaimon Grand Prix 2026" will be held to decide "this year's best umaimon" by visitor votes.
A lineup of exquisite gourmet foods unique to Esashi will be available, including horsehair crab gourmet dishes, grilled seafood, and sales of specialty products and souvenirs.

The stage events are also extensive; on the 4th, there will be a hero show and a YOSAKOI dance performance, and at night, a fireworks display will color the night sky.
On the 5th, there is a full lineup of programs that the whole family can enjoy, starting with the popular attraction "Horsehair Crab Speed-Eating Contest," a "SHINOBU" impersonation stage show, a "Tokunaga Yuki" song show, and more.

At the end of the event, the "Esashi no 'Sachi' Grand Lottery," where you can win horsehair crabs and scallops, will also be held.
