D. in Agricultural Science from the Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences at the University of Tokyo, where he studied stress tolerance genes in plants. 2011, he joined LIVERNESS Co. He has been involved in educational projects such as the Space Education Project, the 200% Self-sufficiency Project, and Science Castle, as well as consulting and community development projects, serving as the general manager of the educational project for five years. He and his wife decided that they wanted to farm at least once in their lives, and moved to Bihoro Town in the Okhotsk region in 2019. After undergoing training to become a new farmer, they began farming as “Saikou Farm” in April 2022. He is planning projects related to education, research, and regional revitalization centered on agriculture. He has also established a unit called “Rethinking Editorial Office” and is active as a writer, writing columns for newspapers and other publications. He is planning to try as many things as possible while he is still alive.
