Fudanai River Park (Pyotan Falls)
Fudanai River Park, nestled at the foot of the Hidaka Mountains Erimo National Park, is a popular spot for tourists seeking magnificent nature, with the Pyotan Falls, a 10-meter drop that collects the clear waters of the Fudanai River and falls down in a powerful torrent.
The park is filled with the spray of the waterfall and negative ions generated by the abundant natural forest.
Visitors can enjoy a leisurely stroll along the promenade, or get in some exercise by playing athletics, tennis, or park golf.
In 2013, the park started offering rental bicycles (free of charge). (Free of charge). Cycling to the Fudauchi River Dam is also recommended.
At the Hidaka Mountain Range Mountain Center, there is an exhibition corner introducing the nature, flora, and fauna of the Hidaka Mountains, camping goods for sale (charcoal, cultural tsukitsuke, smoke chips, cups, plates, etc.), and a rest area (free) where you can relax at your leisure.
