A beautiful park with greenery and a river surface created by utilizing the natural form of the Makari River. The park was awarded the 1995 Minister of Construction's Prize for Handmade Homeland Award for its distinctive walking paths and simple design.

Takashi Hosokawa Memorial Statue
The statue was erected in 1994 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the founding of Makari Village. When visitors place their hands on the base of the statue, it sings Hosokawa's message and four of his most popular songs.
The songs are sung from 9:00 to 18:00.
During the winter season (November to March), the site is enclosed and closed for the winter. Please understand.
