SPOT
A beautiful park with greenery and the surface of the river, created by taking advantage of the natural shape of the Makkari River. It won the Minister of Construction's Handmade Local Award in 1995 for its distinctive walking paths and simple design.
■ Takashi Hosokawa Memorial Statue
It was erected in 1994 to mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of Makkari Village. When you place your hand over the base, a message from Hosokawa and four of his best-known songs will be loudly sung.
*The songs will be played from 9:00 to 18:00
*Please note that the facility will be closed during the winter (November to March) due to winter enclosures.
