Miyanodai Observation Deck stands on top of a slightly elevated hill. Formerly, it was called Tokumitsu Observation Deck, Sarobetsu Observation Deck also, but, in Shōwa year 38, His Imperial Highness Yoshinomiya inspected, after that, it came to be called the current "Miyanodai Observation Deck." The vast Sarobetsu Wilderness can be overlooked in front of the magnificent Mount Rishiri.
