SPOT
Lake Utonai is a rare wetland that maintains its diverse ecosystem despite its proximity to the industrial city of Tomakomai.
It is known as a treasure trove of plants and a paradise for wild birds. In particular, about 270 species of birds, including geese, ducks, and swans, have been confirmed, and visitors can enjoy contact with nature throughout the four seasons.

25 minutes by car from downtown Tomakomai, 15 minutes by car from Chitose Airport, 20 minutes by car from Tomakomai West Port Ferry Terminal. 5 minute walk from Utonai-ko bus stop by Donan Bus (Nature Center is a 15 minute walk from Nature Center Entrance stop)
