Kompira Crater Disaster Remains Walking Path
Overview
The Kompira Crater Complex is a fresh remnant of the March 2000 eruption of Mt. The asphalt-paved walking path is located near the Toyako Onsen Hot Spring Resort. Visitors can get a close-up look at many of the remains, including the Yasuragi-no-Ie public bathhouse, a public housing complex, and a bridge washed away by a mudslide that was damaged by the eruption.
