The train I boarded was the 21:00 Rapid Airport bound for Sapporo from New Chitose Airport. There was only one other passenger in the same car (paid reserved seat). I feel that the regular carriages were a little crowded due to the overlapping arrival of airplanes.
With a 9:00 p.m. departure from the airport, many people must have taken reserved seats in order to take a rest. I am very glad that the conductor was so considerate.
