King Moo was a driving force behind Sapporo's huge disco boom during the bubble era. After opening in 1991, it closed once in 2008. It then reopened in April 2016 as "Theme Park Dance Club KING∞XMHU." Although it was used by over 1 million people in seven years, it will close again in May 2023. The building is known for its unique exterior, and while it is facing demolition for redevelopment, volunteers are also working to preserve it.

Pearl Mondor Minami 6jo store has a history of more than half a century since 1975. The traditional Western sweets are loved by many people for their consistently delicious pastries. The reason for the closure was the deterioration of the building and changes in lifestyle. However, the taste of Pearl Mondor has never disappeared, and the same taste can now be enjoyed at Pearl Mondor Nijuyonken store.

In 2023, many famous restaurants in the Kotoni area of Nishi Ward, Sapporo, closed one after another. Pao, marked by a pink elephant, is a restaurant that represents the soup curry boom of the 2000s. Minamisawa Kashiho, founded in 1912, is a representative confectionery shop in Ashibetsu, known for its specialty confectionery "Doriko Manju" and nostalgic-tasting bread. Unfortunately, due to a combination of reasons, including rising costs of raw materials and equipment, and the owner's health issues, the shop will close on December 30, 2023. Local people who are sad to see it close are still visiting the shop.
