After the news of Chitose Outlet Mall Rera's closure spread throughout Hokkaido, many Rera fans shared their sadness and memories. Here are a few comments from those who grew up with Rera over its nearly 20 years:

・I used to go there for a shop I loved inside Rera. The food was delicious too, so it's really sad to see a place full of memories disappear.

・We used to go there often as a family when my kids were little. It's close to the airport, so we'd watch the planes, do a little shopping, grab a bite to eat, and let the kids play... So many nostalgic memories.

・It wasn't a place I went to all the time, but it was somewhere I'd want to visit on a whim. There were quiet times, but I have so many memories there. I plan to go on my next day off. Thank you, Rera.

・I have many memories, but the surprise concert by a famous artist was incredibly exciting. It was the best memory.

・So Rera is closing... When I was a kid, I was too scared of the moving bear in the food court to go to the bathroom. I have fond childhood memories like trying horseback riding there.

To Cease Operations as a Large-Scale Retail Facility on November 1, 2024

While the closing date was undecided as of January 2024, it has been announced that it will cease to operate as a large-scale retail facility on November 1 of the same year, with only four tenants remaining. As a facility holding memories for many, there is significant public interest in its future, including how the site will be utilized.
