I made a pilgrimage to the "Village of Hokkaido Settlement" where the live-action movie "Golden Kamuy" was shot!
Must-see! Highlights by "Recommended Character" If you are a fan of the 7th Division, check here!

In the early part of the original story, which has also been made into a movie, an impressive battle unfolds in Otaru between the Sugimoto faction of Sugimoto, Asilipa (the "ri" is properly lower-cased) and Shiraishi, and the 7th Division led by Lieutenant Tsurumi. The "former Takei Shoten Sake Brewery Department" and the "former Matsuhashi Family Residence," which served as models for the 7th Division's Otaru base, are not to be missed there. That memorable scene between Lt. Tsurumi and Sugimoto will come back to life.

There are also buildings essential to trace the scenes of Ogata, Tanigaki, and Hijikata's group! There are also models of buildings that often appear in scenes of the 7th Division, such as Ensign Koito, Sergeant Tsukishima, Usami, and Nikaido. Please take a tour of the buildings while thinking of your favorite characters.
Gourmet food and Golden Kamui corner also available.

A must-see is the Golden Kamui Corner in the hall of the former Sapporo Station. From February 14, a horse-drawn sleigh that was recently donated and actually used in the movie, a list of buildings used in the filming of the movie, and autographs of the movie cast will also be on display. Don't miss these must-see exhibits for fans!
The cafeteria offers a variety of dishes reminiscent of the pioneer days, such as Nishin Soba, Imo Mochi, and Tondabyo Teishoku, so be sure to stop by and try some while you are walking around.
