Many of you have likely stayed at the business hotel "Dormy Inn" during business trips or vacations. But did you know that Dormy Inn has a mascot named "Dormy Inko," and each hotel has its own local version? It's a little-known fact. Among them, the Hokkaido local mascots are making a splash on social media for their strong impact.

"Dormy Inko" is the promotional manager for Dormy Inn, a fairy born from "customer's feelings" and the "spirit of hospitality." The 'd' mark on its necktie represents Dormy Inn. The "Local Dormy Inko" mascots found across the country are said to be its family members, each transformed to represent local specialties and characteristics.

It has even appeared in the Yuru-Chara® Grand Prix

The "Prison Inko" from "Dormy Inn Abashiri," which recently went viral on social media, is from a hotel that opened in 2016, just a 2-minute walk from the Abashiri Bus Terminal. Since Abashiri is famous for the "Abashiri Prison Museum," the mascot is depicted as being imprisoned. Comments on social media included, "I had no idea," "I seriously love Dormy Inko," and "What is this, it's so cute."
