Many specialty stores are also making their first appearance in Hokkaido! All new "Back Alley Ramen Terrace" restaurants in Escondido Field!

Since its opening, ESCON Field HOKKAIDO has been the talk of the town with the opening of various facilities. The first permanent ramen area in Japan for a professional baseball stadium, "Nanatsuboshi Yokocho Uraji Ramen Terrace," will pre-open on May 10, 2024. We will introduce what kind of delicious ramen you can enjoy at the ballpark.

About "Nanatsuboshi Yokocho Uraji Ramen Terrace

七つ星横丁 裏路地ラーメンテラス

This is a new spot featuring only ramen noodles, located on the second floor of ESCON Field, just outside the back of the "Nanatsusei Yokocho" eating and drinking area on the third base side of the stadium. Five restaurants from outside of Hokkaido and one from Sapporo have gathered here. A wide range of genres are offered, including miso and soy sauce as well as veggie potato-style, tonkotsu, and aburasoba.

The grand opening is scheduled for Tuesday, May 21, and the shop will be open not only on game days but also on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays when there are no games.

Naniwa no Kin no Konko Tonkotsu Soy Sauce with Seared Grilled Pork and Seared Kakuni - 1,000 yen

Founded in 2012 in Takatsuki City, Osaka's ramen battleground. The restaurant offers a thick, rich broth that mixes well with thin, straight noodles, and is served in a pork bone soy sauce ramen. It is topped with two kinds of pork ribs (kakuni and chashu), and the unique savory flavor of the roasted pork oozes into the soup.

Noodle Shokkui, a salt-based shirokuyu noodle restaurant opened in Higashi Ward in 2022 after the owner, originally from Kyoto, moved to Sapporo, is now in Escondido. The soup is made by slowly extracting the umami of chicken bones and whole chicken, and emulsifying them thoroughly in a blender to create a creamy texture. It is characterized by the richness of the chicken and the refreshing aftertaste.

A popular restaurant in Nagoya has also newly appeared at ESCON Field. The soup is made by slowly simmering chicken bones and pork bones to extract umami. The sweet miso flavor is irresistible. The generous amount of pork belly topping is also very satisfying. Spicy miso paste and raw egg toppings are also available.

The flavorful oil, made by adding plenty of oil and dried sardines to a zundo pot, is extracted over a period of five hours to create a thick, rich flavor. The soy sauce is used to replace the soy sauce, and the mellow aroma fills the mouth with each slurp of noodles. The pork shoulder is smoked by hanging and roasting.

Chicken tsuke-soba: 1,280 yen

Both brands, Takezue Tokyo and KIZARU, a popular restaurant in Tokyo, have collaborated to offer a taste that can only be found here. The noodles are made from whole wheat flour and are characterized by their strong elasticity and unique aroma. The soup is so-called "veggie pota" style, with a white broth and plenty of umami from the ingredients. Three kinds of meat are served as toppings, which change almost daily. Chicken ham and chow mein are planned for the future.

At the unveiling held prior to the pre-opening, pitchers Hiromi Ito, Takayuki Kato, Nobumoto Kitayama, and Ren Fukushima tasted their favorite ramen. Pitcher Fukushima commented, "I hope they are delicious and enjoy watching the games. We invite not only baseball fans but also ramen fans to come to ESCON Field!
