A new star patisserie has appeared in Tokachi! Happy Sweets Time at "ami poire" in Taiki Town
The patisserie "ami poire" is tucked away in a residential area near the Taiki Town Hall and Taiki Shrine, and since its opening in March 2023, it has attracted many repeat customers with its simple yet skillful and elegant taste. The name "ami" means "friend" in French, and "poire" means "pear"-a friendly name after the owner. The store, with its array of cakes and baked goods, is a special place that brings smiles to the faces of all who visit.
Opening in 2023! Warm patisserie run by father and son
The patissier is Yurina Hayasaka, a native of Taiki Town, Hokkaido. After graduating from high school, she attended a confectionery school in Osaka, and after 14 years of experience at major confectionery stores and private stores in Tokyo, she opened her own business in her hometown, Taiki-machi, which she had longed for. He realized his dream of "someday I want to turn back to my hometown and open a store," which he has been dreaming of since he became a patissier. The store is run by his mother, Yuko, and is a take-out only patisserie. Yurina says, "We have only been open for a short time, but I have a vague idea that one day we would like to have a café as well.
Proud of its cakes and baked goods that make the most of the bounty of Tokachi, Hokkaido.
Roll cakes and fruit tarts line the showcase of "ami poire," as well as financiers and rosssiers (baked sweets)! All of them are delicious and attractive. Ingredients are sourced as much as possible from Hokkaido, especially from Tokachi. Dairy products come from Handa Farm in the local town of Taiki, and eggs are from Takeuchi Chicken Farm in Otogi. By using fresh ingredients, the fluffy meringue stands up.
The cream puff (300 yen) is especially recommended. The crunchy texture of the croquant dough and the cream generously filled with rich milk are outstanding. Moreover, since the cream is filled to order, the crispy texture of the dough lasts for a long time. Other popular items on the limited-time menu include "Seasonal Fruit Crepe Wrapped in Crepe" and "Tarte Citron," which are topped with seasonal fruits.
Perfect as a gift or a treat for yourself!
The "ami poire" baked goods sets are ideal for souvenirs. The "financier (caramel)" is especially popular for its exquisite sweetness with Guerande salt. The shop also accepts reservations for birthday cakes, and whole cakes (size 4, 3,240 yen and up) made with seasonal fruits will add a special touch to your special day. (Advance reservations required for birthday cakes.)
