Speaking of Munich Christmas Market, this is it! "Mulled Wine Apple"
Mulled Wine Apple: 800 yen
Many people who visit the Munich Christmas Market will start off with mulled wine. There are many shops selling mulled wine inside the market. The one I had this time was "Montagne x Assombrosso!". It contains sliced apples and cinnamon, making it very flavorful. As I sipped it, I felt my body gradually warm up. I received it in a returnable cup, but you can also choose to have it in an original Munich Christmas Market mug (1,900 yen).
2025 Munich Christmas Market Limited Edition "Original Design Mug" 1,500 yen
If you want to purchase the original mug by itself, head to the original goods shop inside the venue. They also sell badges, coasters, masking tape, and more.
"Stew Pan Clam Chowder" - Concentrated flavors of shellfish and vegetables
"Stew Pan Clam Chowder" 1,200 yen
Clam chowder is filled with chunky ingredients and has a warm visual appeal, making it a comforting dish that puts you in a relaxed mood.
Mix the delicious flavor of the soup into the bread. Don't forget to ask for a knife to cut the bread!
The thick soup was delicious and warmed my body. The sweetness of the carrots and onions was followed by the strong umami of the shellfish. The bread served as the bowl made for a generous portion. They also had minestrone soup served in a similar bread.
Currywurst, a classic German street food
"Currywurst (6 sausages)" 1,100 yen
Currywurst is a classic German street food. It's a savory grilled sausage topped with ketchup and curry powder. I enjoyed it with hot apple wine.
The generous amount of ketchup and curry powder adds a touch of junky goodness.
It also comes with a generous serving of fries, making it a very filling meal. It pairs perfectly with mulled wine or beer. If you want to share with a group, there's also a large size option with 10 sausages for 1,600 yen.
Share fish and chips with tartar sauce
"Fish and Chips" 1,000 yen
I bought fish and chips at the Farmers Chicken Sapporo Yamahana store booth near 14-jo Station on the Sapporo City Tram Nishi Line. This restaurant serves delicious piping hot chicken, including rotisserie chicken, but their fish and chips are also delicious. Crispy fried white fish and a generous amount of French fries. Served with tartar sauce. There are four bite-sized pieces of fried white fish, making it perfect for sharing with multiple people.
"Maple Syrup Fermented Butter Pretzel" with a rich flavor made with German fermented butter
"Maple Syrup Fermented Butter Pretzel" 750 yen
Pretzel King is a popular pretzel shop that offers a variety of flavors. They prepare the pretzels after an order is placed, so they are always warm when you eat them.
The inside is surprisingly soft and fluffy
The pretzels, made with rich German cultured butter, are fragrant and crispy on the outside, yet softer and moister than you'd expect on the inside. The slightly salty flavor is complemented by the mellow sweetness of maple syrup, and the crunchy texture of cinnamon sugar adds a nice accent.
If you're craving something sweet, try "Hot Chocolate Orange" and "Christmas Churros"
"Hot Chocolate Orange" 700 yen, "Christmas Churros" 650 yen
Hot chocolate is perfect when you want a sweet, warm drink. It comes in two flavors: orange and pistachio. Pairing it with Christmas churros makes it even more of a treat.
Enjoy the gorgeous churros that look like Christmas trees
The churros, decorated with plenty of fresh cream, are as gorgeous as Christmas cake. The platter comes with three bite-sized cream-filled churros, making them easy to share with multiple people.
[Bonus] Perfect souvenirs! "Roasted Almonds" and "Christmas Market Original Sweets and Coffee"
In addition to the gourmet food you'll want to eat at the venue, there will also be food available for takeout, perfect for Christmas at home or as a small gift.
"Roasted Almonds XL" 4,500 yen
Roasted almonds, a specialty of Munich's Christmas market, are back again this year. The sweet aroma wafted through the surrounding area, drawing many people in. They come in four flavors: cinnamon, cherry, vanilla, and cocoa. Paper bags cost 1,200 yen for small and 1,700 yen for medium, and come with one flavor. Cups cost 3,350 yen for large, 4,500 yen for extra large, and 6,450 yen for XXL, and you can choose one flavor or a mix of all four.
"Boulevard Neige" 360 yen "I Can't Wait Stollen" 200 yen "Munich Christmas Market in Sapporo Original Blend" 280 yen

I bought some Munich Christmas Market exclusive products from popular shops like COFFEE BEANS & COOKING Co-lab, Sunday Cookies, and CAPSULE MONSTER, which can only be purchased here.
There are over 10 coffee shops that rotate, so you can not only buy drip bags but also enjoy freshly brewed coffee on the spot.
The Christmas atmosphere is even more intense at night! You might even have a chance to meet Santa!
A nighttime scene that really captures the feel of a Christmas market
The atmosphere becomes even more romantic in the evening, as people arrive one after another after finishing work or school. It's a typical scene in Sapporo during the Christmas season.
A candle holder that glows even more magically at night
Items such as candle holders and snow globes look even more charming. Once the sun goes down, it gets even colder, so be sure to dress warmly when you go out.
