The Governor's Mansion
The Governor's Mansion was built in 1936 and became the property of Michi in 1953 after the war. Since then, it has been used extensively for guests of honor and events, as well as for tours. In November 1988, it was selected as one of the "Sapporo Hometown Culture 100" by Sapporo City, and in October 1999, it was registered as a tangible cultural property under the Cultural Properties Protection Law. In recent years, it has also been used for filming TV dramas and other productions under the auspices of the Film Commission promoted by Hokkaido. Please enjoy the Showa-modern atmosphere of the retro space and furnishings.
