Hokkaido Research Institute Seminar "Climate Change in Hokkaido: What will happen? What should we do?"
Date and Time

Giving shape to Hokkaido's hopes! This is the Hokkaido Research Institute! We will be holding a seminar entitled "Climate Change in Hokkaido: What will happen? What should we do?"
Climate change is predicted to affect industry, life, and ecosystems in Hokkaido. This seminar will discuss some of the effects of climate change, including the increased risk of heatstroke in the summer heat, frozen roads in the winter, and snow removal, and will explain "what will happen to our daily lives as Hokkaido residents in the future?" as well as "changes in rain," such as the increased occurrence of linear precipitation bands that cause heavy rain disasters.
We will also introduce the 9th GEWEX-OSC, an international climate change conference that will be held in Sapporo from July 8th to 12th, bringing together researchers from 48 countries around the world.
