From July 17, we will be accepting 74 Hokkaido Heritage-themed photo and tanka works as "Hokkaido Heritage Photo & Tanka Challenge 2024". The Hokkaido Heritage Photo Contest, which has been held until now, now allows entries via SNS, making it easier to participate. In addition, this year we have also started accepting tanka poems. We are looking forward to receiving your submissions of wonderful works, such as your impressions of the charms of Hokkaido's heritage sites and your wishes to pass them on to the next generation!

Photo Section
Photographs taken within the past five years of selecting a subject from among the 74 Hokkaido heritage sites.
Color or monochrome photos are not accepted.
One work per location. One work per location. Combination photos are not acceptable.
The recommended image data format is JPEG or TIFF and the recommended size is approximately 4368 x 2912 pixels or more (approximately 12.8 million pixels or more).
Tanka Division
Tanka poems created by selecting a subject from among the 74 Hokkaido heritage sites.
(3) Entry qualifications
　All visitors to Hokkaido's heritage sites (regardless of nationality or age)
(4) Number of Entries
No limit for SNS submissions.
Up to three works per person if submitted by e-mail or mail.

Follow the official SNS accounts of Hokkaido Heritage on Instagram (@hokkaido_heritage) or X (@hokkaidoisan) and post photos and tanka poems with the hashtag "#Hokkaido Heritage Photo 2024" for the photo category and "#Hokkaido Heritage Tanka 2024" for the tanka poem category. Announcement, etc.
The winners will be notified directly (via DM in the case of SNS), and will also be announced on the official Hokkaido Heritage website and SNS.
Winning works will be exhibited at the Sapporo Ekimae-dori Underground Pedestrian Space, Kita 3-jo Plaza (West) on November 10 (Sun.), 2024. In addition, the works will be exhibited and posted at various other venues to promote Hokkaido Heritage.
