Overview

This parade, where many citizens dressed in various costumes dance the 'Hakodate Minato Odori,' 'Hakodate Ika Odori,' and more while parading through the city, is so lively that even spectators along the roadside start dancing. The mikoshi (portable shrines) that powerfully lead the parade and the brilliantly decorated floats are also a must-see in this main summer parade of Hakodate.

■August 2nd (Sun): Wasshoi Hakodate Jujigai/Matsukaze Course (Toyokawa-cho - Hakodate Station Front - Matsukaze-cho)

■August 3rd (Mon): Wasshoi Hakodate Chiyodai/Goryokaku Course (Chiyodai-cho - Hon-cho - Goryokaku-cho)

■August 4th (Tue): Wasshoi Hakodate Reserve Day
If both August 2nd (Sun) and August 3rd (Mon) are postponed, it will be held only on the Jujigai/Matsukaze course

■August 5th (Wed): The 71st Doshin Fireworks Display Reserve Day

■August 1st (Sat) - August 5th (Wed): Food Stalls 9:00-21:00 (until 22:00 only on the day of the fireworks display)

※Regarding Wasshoi Hakodate, the parade may end earlier than the scheduled time depending on its progress.
