Matsumae Kagura was designated as a National Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property in March, 2024. The year 2024 also marks the 350th anniversary since Kagura was first performed in the Yari-no-Ma Room of Matsumae Castle.
This is a rare opportunity for performers from Matsumae, Otaru, Fukushima, and Hakodate to gather together. We look forward to seeing you there.
