Every year in October, there is an active campaign to raise awareness about breast cancer as the Pink Ribbon Campaign and Festival throughout the country and the world.
Rumoi Public Health Center will also hold a breast cancer exhibition titled "Pink Ribbon Campaign" from October 16 (Mon.) to October 20 (Fri.) at the Dojin Hall on the 1st floor in the Rumoi Promotion Bureau.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women, with incidence and deaths peaking in the 40s and 50s, and it is said that about one in nine Japanese women is at risk of developing breast cancer in her lifetime.

Breast cancer is most likely to occur during a woman's busiest time of life, when she is raising children, caring for family members, and working. In rare cases, men can also develop the disease, and it is not an irrelevant disease for men either, considering that their family members or future partners may also be affected. Why not take this opportunity to think about breast cancer with your friends, partners, and family members?
