In recent years, Hokkaido has seen a dramatic increase in the number of tourists in various parts of the country, due in part to the rising demand for inbound tourism. Accompanying this increase has been a noticeable increase in litter at tourist attractions. Operation "All Hokkaido Cleanup" calls for tourists visiting Hokkaido to pick up litter they find during their trip and to cooperate in beautifying tourist attractions. Marine pollution has become a global problem, and it is said that "80% of marine litter comes from cities. This project aims to raise awareness of the marine litter problem by informing tourists of the current situation where litter from towns, including tourist attractions, flows out into rivers and waterways and ends up in the ocean.

This year, with the cooperation of Nippon Rent-A-Car Hokkaido, the project is being implemented at 10 locations in Hokkaido. Tourists who participate in this project and fill out a questionnaire will be presented with Hokkaido's famous "Shiroi Koibito" sweets.
