One of Japan's leading urban jazz festivals held in Sapporo, this festival started in 2007 and moved its main venue from the Music Tent (Odori Park 2-chome) to the Sapporo Arts Theater hitaru in 2018. The event is held throughout the year at the Sapporo Art Forest and other venues in the city.
In December, Sapporo Citizen's Communication Plaza will be the venue for various programs including "Theater Jazz Live" at the hitaru, a jazz library at the Library and Information Center, and live performances with talks on the theme of video and improvised music.
