Date and Time
2024/12/28
15:00- (about 1.5 hours)
Associate Professor Ko Fujinaga of UCSF (University of California, San Francisco) School of Medicine will be our guest and talk about the frontlines of molecular biology research!
In recent years, there have been remarkable technological advances in the field of genetic analysis, and more recently, the use of AI has accelerated the speed of research. You can hear what kind of researchers gather at the frontlines of the world and what is happening there.
(UCSF School of Medicine is one of the leading research institutions in the U.S., nominated 5th in medical school research and 1st in pharmacy in the U.S. National University Rankings, and has produced numerous Nobel Prize winners. (Dr. Shinya Yamanaka is also a member of the faculty.)
Mr. Fujinaga is from Sapporo and graduated from Sapporo Minami High School. After graduating from the Faculty of Science at Hokkaido University, he continued his research at an American institution. He is very friendly and free-spirited.
This is an opportunity to ask simple questions from a layman's point of view, to ask questions about future prospects, and for students and pupils to ask questions about what they should learn during their school days.
