Large fireworks are launched from a green island in Hakodate Port, lighting up the clear winter night sky. The launch takes place for about 10 minutes starting at 8 p.m.

The vivid colors of the fireworks that appear in the clear winter sky are exceptional. You may be able to see a collaboration with the snow that is unique to this season. The main viewing locations are various locations in the western district, such as the pier near Mashu Maru, in front of the Kanamori Red Brick Warehouse, the bay area of Suehiro Green Space (Hakodate Nishi Wharf Plaza) in Hakodate Port, Hachimanzaka, and Motomachi Park under the former Hakodate Ward Public Hall (entry to the green island where the fireworks are launched is prohibited).

We also recommend going to see illumination events such as the Hakodate Illumination and the Illumination in front of Hakodate Station. You can also enjoy a spectacular view of the night view and fireworks from the top of Mount Hakodate.
