Overview

The "PMF" is a classical music festival that many fans look forward to attending multiple performances during its approximately one-month duration. It is an international educational music festival that began in 1990, proposed by composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein, to nurture young musicians from around the world. Young people aspiring to be performers and a top-tier faculty to guide them gather from all over the world, and performances are held mainly within Sapporo city. In addition to the Sapporo Concert Hall Kitara, you can also listen to performances outdoors at venues such as the Sapporo Art Park Outdoor Stage, and many free concerts are planned for you to casually enjoy classical music.
